Here is a list of general requirements:
- A minimum credit score of 500: All applicants need to meet the minimum credit score. We will review your credit report in detail including your total debt outstanding and recent loan delinquencies.
- At least one family member is currently employed full time or has other sources of steady income.
- Savings: 2-10% of the initial home price. We will evaluate each application on a case by case basis. The exact down payment will be confirmed during your full approval.
- Not currently in a bankruptcy or consumer proposal.
- No unpaid collections or defaulted debt with balance outstanding.
- The minimum income required varies city by city depending on the starter home price range in the area. Generally, we need a minimum household income of $70,000 annually or $5,900 monthly: You can add a co-applicant in your application if the co-applicant will be living in your home with you and is over 18 years old
